Sport Water - Quality Filtered Drinking Water For South Africa

water_1

It is a well documented fact that South African water sources such as dams, streams and rivers are almost all under severe threat of environmental pollution.  This is mostly due to over population of rural rain water catchment areas and use of streams and rivers for human bathing and clothing washing.deonapril-039

Then there are the remote dry areas without water due to lack of municipal infrastructure as well as long periods of no rain.  The poor quality of our drinking water is regularly discussed in the media, TV and radio. It is said it would cost to much to upgrade water treatment and sewerage plants and the result is that there are continuously unhealthy material pumped into our drinking water, dams and rivers.

We would like the community to take responsibility and assist with this problem by investing in clean, healthy, water for everybody in South Africa.

Water industry sales now growing by 30% pa.

BOTTLED water is becoming big business in South Africa with some smaller Eastern Cape companies popping up to capitalise on the phenomenon.

But the market is tough, say the small companies that have to compete against international players in an industry characterised with low margins and high inputs.

In the past 12 years the bottled water industry has developed from a few companies that bottled water manually, to a multi- million rand industry with automated factories, says the SA Natural Bottled Water Association.

The industry now experiences annual growth of 30%, and Sanbwa chairman John Weaver expects a “thousand-fold increase in production within the next five to 10 years”.

Nestle and Coca-Cola are the two biggest producers among the approximately 100 bottlers of natural water in the country who produce more than 100-million litres a year, generating R500-million in turnover.
